May 9: The Source Dance Company Returns to Sechelt!

“Wonderland”… is an original dance presentation performed by Canada’s rising professional dancers, The Source Dance Company.

The Source Dance Company is a semi professional dance company based out of Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver. Dancers from all across Canada audition each year to make up this dynamic company that focuses on jazz, hip hop, contemporary and street jazz. This season’s company is made up of dancers from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

This season’s production, “Wonderland”… is a new interpretation of the Lewis Carroll classic story, “Alice in Wonderland”. Original choreography from some of North America’s best choreographers will represent scenes from the familiar story.

Artistic Director and founder of The Source Dance Company, Joanne Pesusich, has had fifteen successful seasons with the company. She says this year is one of the strongest companies to date. While she has personally set choreographed pieces on the company, she also brought in other professional choreographers from across Canada and L.A to set pieces for the show.

“Each year I am blown away by the raw talent and drive each dancer in The Source Dance Company shows…” states Joanne Pesusich, “This year is by far the most dedicated and well rounded company to date. The sheer talent in the room at each rehearsal is astounding. They will not disappoint! ‘Wonderland’ is going to be a knockout!”

April 30: Deadline for Advertising in Source Program

As you’ll see in the post above, we are bringing a talented and energetic dance troupe (The SOURCE) to the Coast for a fundraising show in Sechelt in May and there is an opportunity for some very affordable advertising in the program for this show.

  • $30.00 per 1/8 Page Ad
  • $50.00 per 1/4 Page Ad
  • $85.00 per 1/2 Page Ad
  • $150.00 per Full Page Ad – includes 2 Complimentary Tickets to the performance

The performers work for free; we pay them just enough to cover their transportation costs and a society member hosts them in her home. After paying for the theatre, we use the remaining proceeds to provide scholarships for talented young local dancers, and to offer residencies to dancers from across the country. So your advertising dollars support promising dancers here on the Sunshine Coast.

This would be a great place to advertise to an audience that is interested in the arts, dance, young people and fitness. Artwork must be provided by April 30th. If you are buying the 1/8 page ad, you can just subject your business card if you want. The details are in this PDF.
