Fundraising Coordinator

Reporting to the board, the Fundraising Coordinator (FC) works to help ensure the Society’s fundraising goals are met by developing and nurturing relationships with current and prospective donors from all sectors including corporations, individuals, foundations and government. As an essential member and volunteer of the society, the FC is accountable for the solicitation and stewardship of donors, with emphasis on those at the $100 – $5000+ level. The Fundraising Coordinator will work to renew existing members, donors and actively research and identify new sources of donations by writing tailored asks (including grant proposals) based on giving history and information gathered through research and personal meetings. The candidate will also help co-ordinate and support the efforts of a team of volunteer solicitors and share administrative tasks related to the planning and execution of fundraising activities.

Event Coordinator

Reporting to the board, the event coordinator plays a key role in providing administrative and event management support. The event coordinator liaises with dance artists, choreographers, dance students, parents, venue managers and instructors regarding scheduling and special event coordination. The coordinator may also oversee a team of volunteers as required. The ideal candidate has a passion for dance and coordinating people, projects, and information. We are looking for someone with excellent coordination and administration abilities, some event management experience and the flexibility to meet on occasional weekends and evenings to support live events. The society engages in three to four events annually including an Artist in Residence program, a Scholarship program, and a possible annual celebration of dance event.

We welcome interested volunteers for an annual term, or on a per-event basis.
